Twilight: 3 out of 5 new moons
For us Twilight fans, November 21 finally arrived.
And, yes, I did go see my favorite new book turned movie (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer) on opening weekend.
Ugh…I hate to say this, but I was only half-thrilled with how director, Catherine Hardwicke gave life to the un-dead. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were the perfect Edward and Bella, as well as Taylor Lautner as the quintessential Jacob Black; casting aside, the film was amateur at best.
The combination of the bad, really bad, music selection and rushed dialogue through pivotal scenes, not to mention the somewhat-cheesy/80s-style special effects, put the final nail in the coffin. Heavy sigh, Twilight was a disappointment.
Would I see it again? Probably; but probably not amid the theater-filled giggling fourteen- and fifteen-years olds the next time.

I was completely disappointed. There were so many scenes where I just kept thinking, "how did that ever make it into the final cut?".

I love your review!

What was up with the crappy music? It was distracting!
I thought many scenes were on fast-forward...what the hell?
Apparently, they are working on New Moon.

I expected a lot from the movie but I ended up disliking it. I just hope that the second book will be better.

I know... I debated about seeing it again, to give it one more shot. However, I can't get myself to sit through it again.
I hope the second is better as well.
Have you read all the books?
I am part way through Breaking Dawn....not liking Book 2: Jacob.
Stop back soon...and Happy New Year!
