My Life is a 80s Movie

My life is a 80s movie.

Which is fine, because, what better time frame is there?
Especially since I was a teenager in the 80s (okay, well, late 80s).

The 80s film genre holds such classics as:
• Can’t Buy Me Love
• Valley Girl (all time fav)
• Girls Just Want to Have Fun (second all time fav)
• Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
• The Breakfast Club
• The Lost Boys (when my love for Kiefer Sutherland first began)
• Pretty in Pink

the list goes on and on…

Yup. My life has it all the elements of 80s success. Like, fur sure.

The female lead, trying to break away from the pack to stand out and be different as constant wacky, slap-stick events keep tripping her up from her unacquainted love for the older, college all-star as the high school jock ex-boyfriend keeps trying to make her regret ever turning him down.

Yup. All I need now is John Cusack and teased bangs.

As far a 80s movie endings, I am hoping for Sixteen Candles, sharing my birthday cake with my Jake Ryan.

Like, that would be pretty rad.

I could I forget the Brat Pack?!  Like, duh!

I would love to reminisce with a night out on the town with sporting teased bangs, Zink Pink lipstick, and drinking some Bartles & James. And, of course, with lots of Aquanet.

Wouldn't it be funny if we ran into our other high school partners in crime from back in the day
      - or perhaps the young hot math teacher whose aged, hanging out in towny bars, groping the closest skank in the corner?

      Yes, that would be mint.

let me throw a couple old ones back at ya.... Listening to Color me bad, " I want to sex you up" or Jodecy " if I ever fall in love" going to the mall in the memere car and smelling joop, obsession, or eternity, only to be wearing Navy from CVS, or even better.... Designer inposter and my favorite yellow champion sweatshirt and saving up enough money to buy a pair of shoes at "Wild Pair."

You are a girl after my own heart!

Did you happen to listen these hits on a boomin' car stereo system?
And, perhaps in a convertible truck with airbrushed lettering?
          Hmmm....that would have been cool.

In the end didn't his mom call one day and he got caught and had to quit.... that may have been early 90s though, but good stuff. for some reason i feel like this kid was in a lot of movies in that time frame though.... ism going to investigate....

      Welcome new friend, Colleen!

The movie you describe is not Valley Girl with totally rad, and very young, Nicholas Cage,
but, Loverboy (1989) with McDreamy, Patrick Demsey in all his prime glory - fer sure.
      Another classic!

And, yes, young new friend, Colleen, Patrick Demsey was McDreamy before being McDreamy.
If you want to flashback and investigate, may I suggest to queue up with Can't Buy Me Love, Some Girls, and even Outbreak.

You are like totally awesome for posting!
